2021年12月末、「ばんえい競馬 馬主情報局」を開設いたしました。
現在、ばんえい競馬は持続可能性に関わる重大な課題に直面しています。その根本にあるのは、いずれも「人」にまつわる問題です。
私たちが抱える課題
- ばん馬の生産頭数の減少 生産者の高齢化や後継者不足が深刻化しており、ここ10年で生産頭数は半減しました。このままのペースで減少が続けば、将来的に競馬の開催そのものが困難になるという危機的状況にあります。
- 競馬を支える人材の不足 厩務員をはじめ、競馬開催を最前線で支える担い手が不足しています。
これら二つの課題に対し、地域社会や関係者は一丸となって解決策を模索しています。しかし、事態は非常に切迫しており、より一層の支援や関わりが求められています。
私たちが目指すこと：新規馬主という選択肢
本サイトは、地方馬主の皆様に向けて運営しております。私がこのサイトを通じて実現したいのは、「新規のばんえい競馬馬主様を一人でも多く増やすこと」です。
新規馬主の参入は、単なる投資にとどまらず、ばんえい競馬という唯一無二の文化を存続させるための力強い一歩になると信じています。その根拠については、以下の記事で詳しく解説しております。

一人のファンとして、できることから
私自身は、生産者でもなく、十勝に在住しているわけでもありません。日々仕事に励むごく一般的なサラリーマンであり、一人の地方馬主です。ばんえい競馬の課題を直接的に解決できるような、強い立場にはありません。
しかし、もし何もしないまま、この素晴らしい文化が失われてしまうとしたら――。そう考えたとき、私にはそれをただ眺めていることはできませんでした。
「自分に何かできることはないか」
そう自問自答した末にたどり着いた答えが、このサイトの運営です。一人の「ばんえい競馬」ファンとして、この魅力あふれる世界に興味を持ってくださる馬主様が一人でも増えること。それが私の願いであり、運営の原動力です。

Protecting the Future of Ban'ei Horse Racing: The Mission of "Ban'ei Keiba Horse Owner Information Bureau"
In late December 2021, I launched the "Ban'ei Keiba Horse Owner Information Bureau."
Ban'ei horse racing currently faces significant challenges that threaten its sustainability. At the core of these issues, both rooted in the human element, are:
Current Challenges
- Declining Number of Ban'ei Horses: Due to the aging population of breeders and a lack of successors, the number of foals has been cut in half over the past decade. If the current rate of decline continues, holding future race meetings will become increasingly difficult.
- Shortage of Human Resources: There is an urgent need for personnel to support the racing industry, including stable staff and other essential workers.
While stakeholders and the local community are working together to address these concerns, the situation remains critical.
Our Goal: Expanding the Community of Horse Owners
This website is dedicated to current and prospective local horse owners. My primary goal is to increase the number of new owners in Ban'ei horse racing.
I firmly believe that the entry of new owners is not merely an investment, but a vital step toward preserving the unique culture of Ban'ei racing. I have detailed the reasons why I believe this is crucial for the future of the sport in the article below:

Acting from a Fan’s Perspective
I am not a horse breeder, nor do I live in the Tokachi region. I am an ordinary salaryman and a fellow local horse owner. While I may not be in a position to resolve these systemic issues directly, I could not sit idly by while the sport I love faces the possibility of disappearing.
I started this website by asking myself, "What can I do?"
As a devoted fan of Ban'ei horse racing, my greatest wish is to spark interest in this incredible sport among as many potential owners as possible. It is my sincere hope that you will join me in supporting the future of Ban'ei racing.
