Summer 2022 - until entering the stables

June 2022

After voting with the shared members, the decision was made to make Jay Lavender's first foal, "Jay Lavender 2021", our first new horse.

We visited the ranch for the procedure.

The rancher commented that although it was his first foal, he was not small, and that he seemed to respond well because of his thin skin, which made me feel good about him (laughs).

Procedure completed. Isn't he handsome?

August 2022

Horses can change in a month…

I don't know how much he weighs, but I hope he will be over 700kg by April.

September 2022

Finally, the acclimation process has begun.

He is no longer just a leisurely grazer; he has taken the first step toward becoming a racehorse.

He is quite a spirited boy, and his temperament seems to be quite rough.

We are very much looking forward to seeing him, because in Banei horse racing, it is better to have a strong temperament.

October 2022

He is gradually growing taller and getting into good shape.

He is waist-high, so he is still growing. I am looking forward to it.

November 2022

Finally, they started practicing taking their mouthpiece and walking.

He is surprisingly obedient (^^;

I hope he doesn't go flying off the handle during the race…

They are tethered to a light truck like this and walked with a person behind them giving them directions with a mouthpiece.

It is said to be a safe method for both horses and people, but if all the horses were to do this, the amount of exercise for the people would be half of what it is.

It's amazing.

First, he wants to improve his physical strength, and once he and the horse are able to communicate with each other through the mouthpiece, he will be able to pull the sled next.

December 2022

Training has begun, and the countdown to entering the stables has begun.
The sleds are being pulled, but they seem to be running wild to the point of surprise (laughs).

He is still waist high, but his hips are getting bigger.
I think it would be cool if he could put on a little more muscle in front of his chest.

Looking at his face, he is still very young.
I think he will enter the stables around February, so go for it!

２０２２年夏～入厩まで

２０２２年６月末

共有メンバとの投票結果を受け、初めての新馬をジェイラベンダーの初仔、「ジェイラベンダーの２０２１」にすることを決定。

牧場に手続きのために訪れました。

牧場の方から、初仔だけど小さくないというコメントや、皮膚が薄いので反応が良さそうといったコメントにいい気になって（笑）

手続き完了。イケメンでしょ？

２０２２年８月

馬って１ヶ月で変わるんですねぇ・・・

体重はわからないのですが、４月には７００ｋｇ超えてほしいなぁ。

２０２２年９月

ついに馴致が始まりました。

もう、のんびり草を喰むだけではなく、競走馬への一歩を踏み出しました。

かなりきかん坊で、気性はなかなか荒そうです。

ばんえい競馬では、気性は強い方が良いので、すごく楽しみです。

２０２２年１０月

だんだんと背丈も伸び、いい体つきになってきたとのこと。

腰高なので、まだまだ成長しますね。楽しみです。

２０２２年１１月

ついに、ハミを取って歩く練習が始まりました。

意外と素直だそうです(^^;

レース中にぶっ飛んでいくようなことは無いかな・・・

こんな感じで、軽トラに繋がれて、ハミをつけて後ろに人が指示を出しながら歩いているそうです。

馬にも人にも安全な方法ということですが、これ全頭やってたら、人間の運動量が半端ない。

すごいな。

まずは体力をつけて、ちゃんと馬と人間がハミを通して意思疎通できるようになれば、次はソリを引くみたいです。

がんばるんやで・・・

２０２２年１２月

調教も始まり、入厩へのカウントダウンも始まりました。

ソリも引いていますが、びっくりするぐらい大暴れしているようです（笑）

まだ、腰高ですが、お尻も大きくなってきました。

もう少し、胸前に筋肉がついてくれるとかっこよくなると思います。

顔を見ると、まだまだ幼いですね。

２月頃入厩すると思いますので、がんばれ！

ジェイジャックの血統構成

父「トカチタカラ」の父は、鉄鯉のクロスがあるように、ブルトンが強めです。

一方、「トカチタカラ」の母「北天姫」は、ペルシュロンが強めです。

全体的には、ペルシュロンよりの血統構成となっています。

ジェイジャックの血統ポイントは、母の「モクレン」だと思っています。

活躍馬を出している牝系ですが、

母の父「コーネルトップ」が、ベルジアンとペルシュロンのＦ１種であり、

ここにブルトンとペルシュロンを持った「トカチタカラ」を配合することにより、

全体的にはペルシュロンが強めで、ブルトンとベルジアンが程よく入った雑種となっています。

今、ジェイジャックは１１００ｋｇ近くと、３歳にしてはかなり大型です。

母の父「コーネルトップ」のベルジアンが出たのかな、と思っています。

ただし、ペルシュロンが強めなので、成長力もあるだろうと考えており、５歳からが本番だという気持ちでいます。

また、主要血統である、「二世ロツシーニ」「鉄鯉」「ジアンデユマレイ」が含まれているので、底力もあると信じています。

ジェイラベンダー２０２１

まず、父「ミタコトナイ」の血統構成が素晴らしいですね。実は、ジェイジャックと同じ父系です。

「鉄鯉」の５×５×５に加えて、「二世ロツシーニ」が６代前で、５代前に「マツノコトブキ」が入っています。

おまけに、「ダイヤテンリュウ」は、「鉄鯉」と「ジアンデユマレイ」が入っていますので、今の主流血統のオンパレードです。

後は、牝系をどうするかですが、方法としては、ブルトンやベルジアン強めの血統を持ってきて、早熟でスピードのある子どもを狙うか、

ペルシュロンを持ってきて、成長性を狙うかだと思います。

ジェイラベンダー２０２１は、狙ったのかどうか知りませんが、いい塩梅の配合になっています。

まず、母の母「協験」は、純ペルシュロンです。

そして、「ダイヤテンリュウ」の３×４なので、６代前で、「鉄鯉」と「ジアンデユマレイ」が入っており、強調されています。

良い方向に出てくれれば、スピードは補強されそう。

おまけに、ベルジアンの主流血統である「マルゼンストロングホース」入りです。

結果、ペルシュロンを強めながら、「鉄鯉」強めで、ベルジアンも入れています。

どう成長するかわかりませんが、２歳でも古馬になっても、一発ある気がするんですよね。
